Destination is a GoAbroad Awards finalist again!

Once again, Destination TEFL is so proud and excited to announce that we have been nominated and selected as a finalist in the prestigious GoAbroad Innovation Awards.

Last year, we were a finalist in the category of ‘Innovative TEFL program’ with our ‘See 2 countries’ programs.

This year we are a finalist in the ‘Innovation in Crisis Response’ category.

When the pandemic hit, we quickly adapted to virtual courses so that those who had already booked could continue virtually with their TEFL adventure and later come over to Asia for their practical training and job placement.

As soon as borders partially opened for essential travel only, Destination TEFL ensured that the company’s paperwork was in order, so that we could arrange sponsored visas in order to travel for the course. We’ve tirelessly been communicating with immigration authorities as well as the Cambodian consulates worldwide in order to make this happen. We’ve kept abreast of any changes to procedures and requirements so that we could immediately let our trainees know of any new rules as soon as they were put in place, in order to ensure a smooth travel experience for our trainees during a time when travel is complicated. Part of this process was the appointment of an in-house travel agent who is familiar with the routes available to travel to Cambodia and Bali as well as any restrictions for specific nationalities or points of departure.

Yes, it’s not as easy to travel spontaneously during the pandemic, however you CAN still follow your dreams and adventures and start your TEFL journey – with the help from the team on the ground at Destination TEFL!
